Training Specialist Support

Assigned to students upon enrollment in the program, NBSA Training Specialists are dedicated to ensuring that you get the most from your Certification program. The Training Specialists are the primary contact for students and manage their progress through planned steps and actions.

In addition to setting deadlines for coursework and tests, support may include reviewing previous educational achievements and work experience, developing personalized training plans and advising students on matters related to employment. NBSA will make every reasonable effort to ensure that students work with the same Training Specialist throughout the program.

All NBSA Training Specialists complete an in-depth training program when they join the advisory team. The training covers program content, business process, service and delivery standards, supporting technology and specialized training, such as workplace accommodations.

Training Specialists are all professionals with experience in adult education, career development, recruiting and/or social services. In addition to practical experience, Training Specialists hold degrees in Education, Social Work, Psychology or similar fields. Many have completed master's degrees or post-graduate studies in Career Counseling, Adult Education and Human Resources Management.

The services of the Training Specialists will be provided via telephone (toll-free) and supplemented with regular e-mail communication. Appointments with the Training Specialists are scheduled weekdays during business hours, unless other arrangements are made.
